COCONUT CREEK, FL - Excitement and anticipation filled the days leading up to the 2nd annual MegaBowl between Pompano Beach High School & Monarch High School.

After a devastating 53-0 loss at last year’s MegaBowl, the Tornadoes were eager for a chance at redemption.

Unfortunately, Pompano was unable to claim a victory Friday night. The final score was 44 - 0.

This week is bye-week, so Pompano will not be having a game. Sophomore Brayden Larosee says that “It is going to benefit us because we have a lot of injuries, so it gives everyone an extra week to heal”.

Despite their loss last week, the Tornadoes are hopeful for the rest of the season, and more specifically, their upcoming game against Hollywood Hills High School.

“I feel like we have lots of potential and I believe that we will do as best we can to get a win,” says senior Corey Little.
